Alyvia Walters, Ph.D.

My name is Alyvia Walters, and I hold a Ph.D. in Communication, Information & Media Studies. I am currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism and Media at the University of Kentucky.

My cross-disciplinary, mixed methods work sits at the intersections of new media, political rhetoric, critical cultural studies, and content moderation. I teach a wide variety of courses on media history, representation, communication/rhetoric, and media law.
